"dad, is she speaking in spanish?" and seriously meant it! haha! my dad says:
"yup, haha!"

Christmas!!!!

CHRISTMAS! haha! i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE christmas! its my fav. holiday out of all of them! here is what i got from santa and family:
cell phone (that doesn't come till the 30th when i am in Utah)

and alot more little things that i cannot remember at the moment! that is not including my friends presents! they all totally spoiled me! but it's ok, because i spoiled everyone else too! haha! i even gave my parents santa presents! here is the story on that one:

it was about 5 am. that i snuck upstairs with a couple of presents from santa to my parents that i needed to lay out. i ran up there, and there was a huge sheet hanging over the stairs that led into the living room. on the two little stairs, i set down a pretty shirt and a bag of oreos for my mom, and a polo shirt and a box of hot tamales for my dad. i ran back down to bed! when we got up and went upstairs to look at presents, my dad walked up to the sheet, and saw the hot tamales and said
"WHO WENT INTO THEIR STOCKING AND GOT THOSE OUT!"
i calmly said
"dad, none of us did, maybe santa left that for you"
thats when he realized the shirt under it, and moms present next to it! oh how he was surprised to see that coming! haha! i love surprising people! savannah got her high school musical shirt, conner got his felt drawing poster and giant spiderman pencil, and addi got her doggie book! haha! it wasw a WONDERFUL christmas, and i really appreciate that!!! i hope eeryone had a good christmas!

CHRISTMAS EVE!!!

Yesterday was christmas Adam, whereas today, its CHRISTMAS EVE! I am soooooooooooooooo excited for tonight! i love the anticipation everyone gets, waiting for their presents! i cannot wait! thats why i love christmas eve! I am going to give everyone just an outlin of what we usually do on Christmas Eve!

wake up and chill all day (maybe we do something with just our fam.)

at like 5 or 6, we go with our whole family and eat a yummulicious dinner

with our fam. we do the nativity scene, while our grandpa reads the scrips that go along with it

COOK TALENT SHOW! (our fam. is doing the "do you hear what i hear" song that i wrote!

leave all excited!

go home, open 2 presents (pj's, and an ornament of what we did that year)

go on dad's bed while dad tells us about seeing santa come last year!

all go into my room, roll out sleeping bags, and try to sleep! lol!

ITS A........

I got my mom so mad the other night begging her for a phone, and then she accidentaly spilled the beans! haha! she told me that i was getting a phone for christmas! i was talking to my dad the next morning because i wasn't sure if she was just telling me that to get me to shut up, or if i was really getting a phone! my dad said

"kayla, your mom loves to surprise people, and she was really looking forward to getting you a phone and surprising you! she is very sad that you now know, but she will get over it. we are going to give you $70 towards a phone, then you pay the rest. just know, that you dont need a nice expensive phone right not, because our contract ends in 14 months, then you can get a nicer phone for cheaper."

i was soooooo happy! instantly, i went on the computer, and looked up 2 phones that i wanted (crystal pink razr, or the wafer) and decided to get the razr! i hope and PRAY that it will come in time for christmas, because i want to take it to utah to take pics and stuff!

so yeah! i am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad to know that my parents weren't that blind to see that i do need a phone! thanks mom and dad!

Not Enough Hours in a Day!

On Saturday, was another performance for my show choir, and i should say that it went well! I did my solo okay, and we all put our hardest effort into the dances! it turned out really good! we performed at tempe market place!

i had woken up at 7:00 to do my hair for the performance, then i went to tennis. my mom picked me up and took me straight to savannahs singing performance. Then i had to change in the car, and do my make-up, and i went to tempe market place to perform, which turned out good! after i performed i only went into three stores, because we had to drop savannah at a birthday party, THEN i went home!

and of course, my friend Bethany comes over, we walk over to get our toes done (pink, with black zebra stripes), go to target(which is where Whitney came and met us), then we go to panda express (thanks whitney for the panda bowl(she got it for us because se was so rich, and hungry, and we all split a panda bowl)), THEN we went to my house and wrapped all of our christmas presents we bought (I AM DONE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!!!! (except i need to finish shelbys, get the rest of kortnis, and, wait, THATS IT!) WOOHOO!), ofcourse we did that when i was babysitting 6 children, and i kinda broke my moms phone!
Idropped it in the toilet but i got it out and blowdried the battery and the buttons and everything, and it worked after that for two hours! then i kinda dropped it on the floor (which i always drop it) then the screen webt white, and it made beeping sounds, so i took the battery out for a while. everytime i put the battery back in, it worked a little longer.

anyways, after my friends left, my dads work partner came to stay the night, so him, my dad, my mom, and i all watched the office! hahaahahah! i love the office! i have never missed an episode this season!

but yeah, that is my day! busy busy!

GOOD NEWS!!!!! FOR A GOOD DAY!!!!!

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!

So on Monday, my dad goes to Houston, Texas, for his check-up on his cancer. He had been in whats called "partial remission", which it where the cancer is so small, not growing, but not yet in remission. the medicine was supposed to last until 6 months after. this time he went, and it had been 1 year since he had been doing this treatment, so they were expecting it to be growing back. my grandpa went with my dad this time, and my greandpa said the whole time, my dad had been stressing alot about it, and worried. Monday, he had done all of the testing, Tuesday, they went and played! and Wednesday, they talked to the doctors about whats going on. I had been anxious the WHOLE day! my mom had told me that he met with the doctor at 10 o'clock, and at 10, i was sooooooo nervous!!!!! When me, Shelby, and Sage were walking to lunch together, I used Shelby's phone to call my mom to see! when I got a hold of her, she told me that he was still in partial remission, and some of the cancer cells had shrunk a little more, and that since he was doing so great, he didn't need to go and check up again in 6 months, instead of 3 months! I started crying, I couldn't help myself! it was a true miracle!!!! I love my dad, he is like, my personal angel i have here on earth, and this trial has really got me hard. I cannot express my feelings of how happy I am and was when I heard the amazing news!!! I know that the lord has helped us alot, and this was not just a coincedence! I really am thankful for my heavenly father, and I am going to pray pray pray to thank him for this wonderful miracle! thanks to all of you who has helped me go through this! each one of you has helped me in some way, whether you know you have, or not!

Comedy with Conner!

I really am goign to start the "comdey with Conner"!!! he just sais the funniest things and I just have to tell you guys!

So this morning, I'm putting on my make-up, and when I'm in my bathroom, I can hear whats going on in the TV room downstairs. I hear Conner flipping through the channels on the TV, then he gets to a chanel where I hear the song "circus" by Brittany Spears, and I start singing along, and I think,

"wait, why is this on the TV? what is Conner watching?" so i go in the room, and see conner going

"woohoo!" and the TV was showing Brittany in a sports bra looking thing, and super tight pants on, and shes shaking her buttox to the camera on stage! I, then, say

"Conner! What are you watching?!?!" and he said "what? its the Cheetah Girls!"

how funny is he? the Cheetah Girls! what is Disney Channel showing right now, if conner thinks Brittany Spears is one of the Cheetah Girls????

On Christmas Eve, the Cook family gets together, and has food, and fun! we always have a Cook Talent Show! Usually no one does it, so this year i wrote lyrics to the song "do you hear what i hear" and it's all insiders with my family here! So I decided to share it with all of you!

Black Friday Deals!!!! Well, Maybe Not?!?!

Today was black Friday, the day where everything was supposed to be on sale! so I thought! So me, my mom, my friend Vanessa, Bethany, and Bethany's mom (got that?) all got up and left shopping at 6:00! We went to Michaels, where my mom got stuff, and I got a present for Conner, then to Home depot, nothing special, and then Target, where I got Savannah's present, then, the heaven of all heavens, THE MALL!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! haha! So we get there, and me and my friends go and shop for a little bit while my mom went to her stores. Of course Hollister has no sales, because everyone loves their clothes so much, they would pay normal price! other stores have like 30% off deals, which were pretty lame, but yeah. then Mervins has a gajillion posters hanging from the ceiling saying "out of business clearance!" and 50% off signs! well, it turns out, that they doubled the price of everything, and marked it to be half off! No sense huh! But anyways, it was still pretty fun! I got some christmas shoping for some friends and family, but I hope to finish in time for christmas!

Excited!!!!

OMGSH!!! I can't wait until tomorrow! why you ask? I AM GOING TO GET MY HAIR CUT AND SEE TWILIGHT! AAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can barely tame myself down! so all I am planning on doing is trimming my hair, and getting my bangs cut so they swoop! I am so excited! I can't wait! and don't get me started on hiow excited I am for twilight!!!! aaaahhhh!!!!!!! I am so excited to walk into the theater and see the room packed full of people, and finding two perfect spots, then watching my favorite book on a screen! any of you who are seeing the movie but havn't read the book, will probably be regreting this! because i already know its not going to be as good as the movie just by looking at who they casted! oh well, sigh. I STILL CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!

Lymphomathon - CURE CANCER!!

On Sunday (yes I know that it was a Sunday, but it was for a good cause and the only time) we went to the Pheonix Zoo to do the Lymphomathon! My dad has Lymphoma cancer, and we raised $2,000 for the walk! we walked around the zoo twice, which equalled about 3 miles and got to see tons of animals! the pictures describe everything! we got t-shirts, and they are going to send the jackets soon! it was alot of fun! I think we all enjoyed it even though it was like 0 degrees out! haha! The way the T-shirts worked, was that the people that were survivors of cancer, would wear a yellow T-shirt, and the supporters would wear a white one! it was kind of sad to see my dad as one of the few with the yellow shirt.

Hollywood Video Store!!!

It's weird to think that once you hit the age of about 13, public people don't treat you the same anymore! Like, they don't treat you like your a kid, you are now known as a 'rotten teenager' and they don't care if they treat you like it either! I think people start to see me that way already, but I think you should decide...

So me, Bethany, and Vanessa all went to the Hollywood Video Store, because we were going to rent a movie for that night. We walked in to the store, and we started looking, but couldn't find anything, so we literally searched in every stack in the comedy section. While I was looking through a stack I didn't realize my fot was knocking movies down on the bottom shelf! my friends pointed it out to me, and I laughed because I hadn't realized what I had been doing and the lady who was taking the shift happened to be in the aisle next to us watching us! She instantly saw me laughing and thought that I did it on purpose, so she comes over and yells "YOU BETTER PUT THOSE MOVIES BACK ON THE SHELF!!" and of course I do, but i guess I was so scared while doing it, I didn't realize one of the movies was upside down! She walks over to fix it, yells at us somemore, then asks "Are you guys 18 or older?" And of course said no, then she responds "well then you guys can LEAVE!" I was so scared she was going to like report me to the police or something! So we go outside and call Vanessa's mom and have her go in and get "She's the Man" for us, and I was to scared to go back inside, so me and Bethany stay out by the car while they go in and get it! hahahaha!

Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!

Halloween was soooooooooo fun this year! it could have been a little better because I didn't get to trick or treat that long, but I didn't go that long because of a good reason! So I helped with the ward trunk or treat, by doing the face painting. And that was the only thing i was interested in doing there, so I am glad i participated in that. then, all the beehives and deacons went trick or treating! I am so happy we changed wards, there are tons of awesome friends, and all the deacons and beehives get along together like BFF's!!!!! That was so fun! I had to leave early :( but it was to go to Tori Stucki's awesome party! We watched Phantom of the Opera, and of course, I was singing and saying along! BTW, that was the 28th time I have seen that movie! yes, I have been counting!!! It was a sleep over, and we only got like, 5 or 6 hours of sleep due to the fact that we got to bed at three in the morning!! I had a blast at the party, thank you Stucki's for inviting me! My costume was awesome! I wore a Lime green undershirt, an orange shirt that said "fitness" on it (thank you Elena for that idea), I had polka dot leggings, with stripy shorts over it, and I had my hair in a side ponytail, and a bandana in my hair, with my bangs all 80'sish! then i wore white keds, with the long socks that you push down to the ankles! It was bomb!!!

Addison and I were outside playing in the backyard with Sandy! Sandy really wants a treat, so i go through the door to her "room" and I gave her one! Next thing I know, I see Addisons head poking through the doggy door!!!! hahahaha! I thought it was cute, so I raced for the camera, and made her do it again, so I could post about it! FUN, FUN, FUN!

Okay, so I have probably had the best weekend ever! On Friday, it was Savannahs b-day, so we went for pizza, then she opened her presents which was fun to see her do! I got her a pet fish (she's been dying for one) and everyone else got her, a bike, a hula hoop, and a book! Then, I was bored so I call up a few friends to talk, but they were all surprisingly not there, then my friend calls me up on her cell saying "why aren't you here at the halloween party?!?!!" woops! I forgot about the party this one girl had at her house So I throw on a cool costume, and make my mom run me over there! That party was bomb! We did alot of cool stuff there that I just have to tell you in person! (nothing bad, dad I PROMISE!) then I got home, went to bed! I woke up at 8:15 because my friend was coming to get me at nine to take me to see HSM3, so I got all ready to go, and we left! The movie was cute to all of those who want to, or havn't seen it! I thought it was the best out of the three! Then, after that, I was looking at my fingernails and toes thinking "wow, i need to go get my nails done real bad, they look awfull, and I havn't in a long time!" so I call a couple of my friends and we walk down to the best nail place EVER! they gave us major discounts! Me, Bethany, and Kaylee got BRIGHT orange nail polish, and a black spider web on them, with silver sparkles outlining the black web, and a jewel on the end of the web. (did you get that?) then my friend, got this really cool islandy set thingy, with mountains in the background, and palm trees, birds, and the ocean all painted on her toes! cuute! and get this, our toes each only costed 13 dollars! when it normally costs 20!!!! Then, me and Bethany got manicures, I got white tips painted for only 7 dollars, and she got a really cute pink color for 6 dollars! It waws sooo cool! Then we all walked to Panda Express and ate a filling meal, and walked home! Now I am unfortunately babysitting my siblings! But it has been an awesome weekend, and I don't want it to end!!!!!!!!!!

Solo!!!!!!!!!!!

At 5th avenue ladies, we are performing on Wednesday, and we only know 3 songs, and we need to fill in some time, so our teacher said that we can audition for a solo to do to fill in the time, so I decided to try out singing "I'm not that girl" from Wicked! I tried out, and I MADE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So now i get to sing at our first performance! I am soooooooo excited!

Addi and Me Time!

So today, a Monday, my mom teaches piano like, all day! so I decided to make watching Addison fun! I took her down to the park with Sandy, and we went down the slides a couple of times! Haha! You should have seen Addi's face as she slid down! Then, Sandy kept running away, so I took her back home, but then Addin and I went back to the park and we went down the slides a couple of more times! Then, i wanted to take her down to the soccer feild so she can run around in the grass! When we arrived at the soccer feild, the sprinklers that perimeter the field were on, so this is where I twerked it up a bit! We ran down the hill through the sprinklers, and I loved hearing her high pitched scream as we did! We tried to chase the pigeons eating seeds, but of course, they outran us! She, of course, loved the sprinklers so we ran back up the hill running through the sprinklers, and she, again, screamed! I took Addi up to the sprinkler, and I stuck her hand right up where the water shoots out, and it made a rip sound that she instantly fell in love with. She stuck her hand there continuously, until she found herself soaking wet! Haha! It was soooooooo cute! Then she thought she could be funny and show that her hair was long enough to mop up the water off of the sidewalk, and she tried, but instead, got her hair soaked! Haha! I love my Addibug, and I really truely am greatful for a sweet little angel from heaven like her, to come and be my sister! I LOVE YOU ADDISON! YOU ARE MY BEST FRIEND!

Yes, yes, i know what you're thinking "what is she doing?" i was actually body surfing the waves, and it was a blast! i really don't know what that pose was all about, but i had just ridden a wave to shore!

Okay, the water had splashed me really hard, and you get salt in your mouth when that happens, so that explains the face!

There is my bug with my mom by the water! she reall yloved to splash and play in the water, it just wasn't good when you weren't watching her!

HALOWEEN!!!!

So I have been thinking of what to be for halloween this year, and i have a couple of ideas, but eh... not the right one! any help?!?!? I was looking through my pics online, and found this cute halloween picture from 2 years ago! haha! my mom made her costume on halloween day just for fun, and my sister and brother had just finished trick or treating, so ofcourse expect to see candy shoved in their faces! haha! leave me comments on what you guys are being for halloween, and maybe drop a couple of ideas? that would be bomb!

Mutual!

Mutual waws sooooooo fun today! we did baptisms for the dead at the temple, and WOW! that was my third time, and i probably have tons of blessings now because of all of the times i got confirmed! it took a good half hour of confermation! (i think thats a word:)) then i got to get baptized in the font, and that has always been amazing for me! i just love sitting in the room, looking at the person getting baptised, and through the corner of my eye i can see the paintings on the walls of joseph smith and all of those paintings! and ovecourse, the refreshments! we went to Bahama Bucks, and that was aaaaaaaaawwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssoooooommmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeeeeeeee because believe it or not, i happened to be craving that all week! haha! i got the delicious wedding cake, and blue bubble gum, and about 100000 samples! and yeah we had a good time!

MEXICO!!!!!!!!!!

So i just went to Mexico this past weekend, and what can i say? fun? YES! it was sooooooooooooooooooo fun! I got to hang out with Megan Sessions and Kortni Greene! and we went when the weather was awesome! there was a hurrican coming towards us, but didnt get to hit us, so the only storm signs were BIG WAVES! and that was not a problem at all! :) I got to body surf, and "ride the waves" (haha! megan!) and boogie board! and get this, so me and megan were boogie boarding, and then we see our group pointing to the right of us and i thought they were telling us to scoot over because there was a big wave coming or something, but nope! there were two dolphins about ten feet or less away from us! cool huh! ovecourse we got all scared, because i thought it was a shark, and megan just got scared, because who knows what their going to do! anyways, that was cool! and i got 3 suveniers! i got a bracelet/ankelet, a cute necklace, and a HUGE TAN! YIPPEE!!!!!! haha! anyways, thank you so much Sessions, that was a BLAST!

Savannah's Funny Suggestion

Okay, so at the dinner table tonight, my sister randomely asks, "Dad, when did Jesus die?" and my dad answers, "well, he died on a friday" and then she asks, "well, what month?" he answers, "Well, we don't really know excactly." then she says, "Lets go check the internet!" hahahahaha! how funny! i guess she doesnt get the fact, that "NO MAN KNOWS WHEN HE DIED!" i just thought it was funny!

Shelby's Birthday!

So today was Shelby's 14 BDAY! Me and Sage got up at 6 oclock in the morning and went to her house to blind fold her and take her to Ihop! it was so much fun and she was surprised! Sage gave her baloons sinse my mom payed for the breakfast. Then at lunch, I ran as fast as i could to the lunch table we sit at, and i put a "happy birthday" table cloth on it and decorated it all cute! she was so surprised! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHELBY!

CABIN!!!!

So I brought Shelby to the cabin because she's been dying to go to the cabin! And normally when we go, my dad gives us rides, and when i went to the property with Kortni, I got to drive the quads myself! So jokingly, knowing my parents would never let me, I tell them me and Shelby are going out for a ride, and my dads response was "Okay, just put some sneakers on, a helmet, and I'll teach you!" so we do really excitedly, and we learn how to drive them! the sad thing was, we couldn't go where ever, however, we had to just ride around the neighborhood going 20 mph! Oh well, it was still awesome, and i felt like they trusted me, and knew that i wasn't some drunk dudette who would drive crazily and flip over! :) anyways, me and Shelby had a blast, and i really am excited to go again!

Kortni's Gone!!!

Today was very sad because my freind Kortni moved out. I went over there today, and she was at youth conference, but Kacee was there, and it was weird seeing their empty house. I seriously want to cry, because now we're are like never going to see each other again! she's moving to queen creek, and lots of her friends live, there, so she'll probably never see me again, but more importantly, I'LL never see her again. boohoo. I dont want you to go Kortni!

Property!

Okay, so i went to Kortni's property up in Ashfork, and it rocked! Kacee (her cousin) went up there, and she is like my really, really good friend! They had two trailers up there, and quads! it rained alot, so we couldn't ride the quads alot, and it was muddy. but we still had fun! we shot guns, and i don't know what this gun was called, but it was big, and black, and we would shoot tanerite! i was totally freaked out, and scared, but i was happy afterwards, because i made it on my first time! we had sooooooo much fun, and I want to thank kortni sooooooooooo much for letting me go up there with you! you rock my sox off!

"Am I obeying you?!!??!?!?!"

So I babysat these two boys in my old ward, and their both so cute! :) and the 4 year old, named Ashton was terrified of mosquitos! well, atleast that night he was. and he was crying, scared that he was going to get stung! So I told him "Ashton, if you obey me, then the mosquitos won't sting you!" so like every 5 minutes he would start crying, thinking that he wasn't obeying me! When i put him to bed, he got really scared, and I told him, "Ashton, i was just on the phone with them, and i told them to go up to heaven and not come back down!" and then he starts crying even more! I was like, "Ashton whats the matter?" and he said "Their going to sting Jesus!!!!!!" I started cracking up! and said " No they won't hurt Jesus, because he locked them in the cage!" And then he says "Do they only come down to sting te bad people?" and i told him yes, then he started crying! aaah! "what Ashton!?!?!" of course he cries "conner is not a good boy, he says potty words!" and i crack up again (the routine never ends) and I finally just give up and let him scare himself to sleep! okay, the kid is four, and he is freakin' out over a silly mosquito bite! Sorry, I just thought that was hillerious!

Girls really do just wanna have fun!

Sometimes, I think Cyndi Lauper is crazy because girls don't really get to have THAT much fun, but this experience might have changed that thought of mine, you decide...

On Friday Vanessa, Bethany, Whitney and I spent about two hours planning to go see Iron man at the dollar theaters! So we FINALLY get a ride to the theaters, and we get there a little late! so we're literally dancing to the line! then we see the ine is incredibly long! So I say, "I feel like shopping instead of seeing iron man!" and everyone agrees! so instead, we just go right into the mall, when i had gone two weeks in a row already! We get to the upstairs and go into Charlotte Russe, because the week before then, we found tons of cute clothes! so we walk in, and me and Vanessa walk up to this wall FULL of neon colored sunglasses, and we freak out! We all ended up getting a pair! I get a neon yellow, Vanessa gets a neon pink, Bethany gets a neon purple, and Whitney gets neon blue! then we headed right to the photo booth! Then after spending a whole hour at Hollister, we ended up going to my house right after! Then we called Tyler Bowman! we talked to him and creeped him out because of our crazyness! that was an interesting conversation! then finally, at like 11:00 pm, everyone left! :(

My Summer!

My summer has been awesome! Two girls camps, Utah, the beach, disneyland, and of course, WICKED! There's alot more that was a blast! Hope these pictures give you some kind of idea of my summer!
