We survived coming up to utah! yipee! we are all settled here, and something funny just happened this morning, so i decided to post it...

me, Conner, dad, and Addison were in my parents room up here, and addi was saying random things like "jibboobabiii" you know, stuff like that! so Conner goes
"dad, is she speaking in spanish?" and seriously meant it! haha! my dad says:
"yup, haha!"
and Conner, "oh thats why i don't understand it!" hahahahahahahahahaha!

Christmas!!!!

CHRISTMAS! haha! i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE christmas! its my fav. holiday out of all of them! here is what i got from santa and family:
cell phone (that doesn't come till the 30th when i am in Utah)
Chi straightener (never expected that!)
2 shirts
1 furry cute jacket
PINK body lotion and spray
jucy cotoure necklace
movies
remote control helicopter (acctually fun! i was shocked once i realized that too)
pj's and ornament
candy galore!
2 target gift cards
toothpaste? (idk why either!)
red fleece blanket
a robe
a day to go out with my teenage girl cousins and grandma to get pedicures!!
and alot more little things that i cannot remember at the moment! that is not including my friends presents! they all totally spoiled me! but it's ok, because i spoiled everyone else too! haha! i even gave my parents santa presents! here is the story on that one:

it was about 5 am. that i snuck upstairs with a couple of presents from santa to my parents that i needed to lay out. i ran up there, and there was a huge sheet hanging over the stairs that led into the living room. on the two little stairs, i set down a pretty shirt and a bag of oreos for my mom, and a polo shirt and a box of hot tamales for my dad. i ran back down to bed! when we got up and went upstairs to look at presents, my dad walked up to the sheet, and saw the hot tamales and said
"WHO WENT INTO THEIR STOCKING AND GOT THOSE OUT!"
i calmly said
"dad, none of us did, maybe santa left that for you"
thats when he realized the shirt under it, and moms present next to it! oh how he was surprised to see that coming! haha! i love surprising people! savannah got her high school musical shirt, conner got his felt drawing poster and giant spiderman pencil, and addi got her doggie book! haha! it wasw a WONDERFUL christmas, and i really appreciate that!!! i hope eeryone had a good christmas!

CHRISTMAS EVE!!!

Yesterday was christmas Adam, whereas today, its CHRISTMAS EVE! I am soooooooooooooooo excited for tonight! i love the anticipation everyone gets, waiting for their presents! i cannot wait! thats why i love christmas eve! I am going to give everyone just an outlin of what we usually do on Christmas Eve!

wake up and chill all day (maybe we do something with just our fam.)

at like 5 or 6, we go with our whole family and eat a yummulicious dinner

with our fam. we do the nativity scene, while our grandpa reads the scrips that go along with it

COOK TALENT SHOW! (our fam. is doing the "do you hear what i hear" song that i wrote!

leave all excited!

go home, open 2 presents (pj's, and an ornament of what we did that year)

go on dad's bed while dad tells us about seeing santa come last year!

all go into my room, roll out sleeping bags, and try to sleep! lol!

yeah! thats it! our wonderful christmas eve! i am looking forward to tonight, just to get in the christmas spirit! it does NOT feel like christmas! wow! leave me comments or just post on your blog bout your christmas eve traditions if you have any!

ITS A........

I got my mom so mad the other night begging her for a phone, and then she accidentaly spilled the beans! haha! she told me that i was getting a phone for christmas! i was talking to my dad the next morning because i wasn't sure if she was just telling me that to get me to shut up, or if i was really getting a phone! my dad said

"kayla, your mom loves to surprise people, and she was really looking forward to getting you a phone and surprising you! she is very sad that you now know, but she will get over it. we are going to give you $70 towards a phone, then you pay the rest. just know, that you dont need a nice expensive phone right not, because our contract ends in 14 months, then you can get a nicer phone for cheaper."

i was soooooo happy! instantly, i went on the computer, and looked up 2 phones that i wanted (crystal pink razr, or the wafer) and decided to get the razr! i hope and PRAY that it will come in time for christmas, because i want to take it to utah to take pics and stuff!

so yeah! i am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad to know that my parents weren't that blind to see that i do need a phone! thanks mom and dad!

Not Enough Hours in a Day!

On Saturday, was another performance for my show choir, and i should say that it went well! I did my solo okay, and we all put our hardest effort into the dances! it turned out really good! we performed at tempe market place!

i had woken up at 7:00 to do my hair for the performance, then i went to tennis. my mom picked me up and took me straight to savannahs singing performance. Then i had to change in the car, and do my make-up, and i went to tempe market place to perform, which turned out good! after i performed i only went into three stores, because we had to drop savannah at a birthday party, THEN i went home!

and of course, my friend Bethany comes over, we walk over to get our toes done (pink, with black zebra stripes), go to target(which is where Whitney came and met us), then we go to panda express (thanks whitney for the panda bowl(she got it for us because se was so rich, and hungry, and we all split a panda bowl)), THEN we went to my house and wrapped all of our christmas presents we bought (I AM DONE CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!!!!! (except i need to finish shelbys, get the rest of kortnis, and, wait, THATS IT!) WOOHOO!), ofcourse we did that when i was babysitting 6 children, and i kinda broke my moms phone!
Idropped it in the toilet but i got it out and blowdried the battery and the buttons and everything, and it worked after that for two hours! then i kinda dropped it on the floor (which i always drop it) then the screen webt white, and it made beeping sounds, so i took the battery out for a while. everytime i put the battery back in, it worked a little longer.

anyways, after my friends left, my dads work partner came to stay the night, so him, my dad, my mom, and i all watched the office! hahaahahah! i love the office! i have never missed an episode this season!

but yeah, that is my day! busy busy!

GOOD NEWS!!!!! FOR A GOOD DAY!!!!!

OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!

So on Monday, my dad goes to Houston, Texas, for his check-up on his cancer. He had been in whats called "partial remission", which it where the cancer is so small, not growing, but not yet in remission. the medicine was supposed to last until 6 months after. this time he went, and it had been 1 year since he had been doing this treatment, so they were expecting it to be growing back. my grandpa went with my dad this time, and my greandpa said the whole time, my dad had been stressing alot about it, and worried. Monday, he had done all of the testing, Tuesday, they went and played! and Wednesday, they talked to the doctors about whats going on. I had been anxious the WHOLE day! my mom had told me that he met with the doctor at 10 o'clock, and at 10, i was sooooooo nervous!!!!! When me, Shelby, and Sage were walking to lunch together, I used Shelby's phone to call my mom to see! when I got a hold of her, she told me that he was still in partial remission, and some of the cancer cells had shrunk a little more, and that since he was doing so great, he didn't need to go and check up again in 6 months, instead of 3 months! I started crying, I couldn't help myself! it was a true miracle!!!! I love my dad, he is like, my personal angel i have here on earth, and this trial has really got me hard. I cannot express my feelings of how happy I am and was when I heard the amazing news!!! I know that the lord has helped us alot, and this was not just a coincedence! I really am thankful for my heavenly father, and I am going to pray pray pray to thank him for this wonderful miracle! thanks to all of you who has helped me go through this! each one of you has helped me in some way, whether you know you have, or not!

Comedy with Conner!

I really am goign to start the "comdey with Conner"!!! he just sais the funniest things and I just have to tell you guys!

So this morning, I'm putting on my make-up, and when I'm in my bathroom, I can hear whats going on in the TV room downstairs. I hear Conner flipping through the channels on the TV, then he gets to a chanel where I hear the song "circus" by Brittany Spears, and I start singing along, and I think,

"wait, why is this on the TV? what is Conner watching?" so i go in the room, and see conner going

"woohoo!" and the TV was showing Brittany in a sports bra looking thing, and super tight pants on, and shes shaking her buttox to the camera on stage! I, then, say

"Conner! What are you watching?!?!" and he said "what? its the Cheetah Girls!"

how funny is he? the Cheetah Girls! what is Disney Channel showing right now, if conner thinks Brittany Spears is one of the Cheetah Girls????

On Christmas Eve, the Cook family gets together, and has food, and fun! we always have a Cook Talent Show! Usually no one does it, so this year i wrote lyrics to the song "do you hear what i hear" and it's all insiders with my family here! So I decided to share it with all of you!
