christmas season!!!

Christmas was a blast!!!! but if you blinked you would miss the whole thing! i kid you not, it went by so much faster than all of the other ones i have celebrated!

Holiday Dance Decorating!!! (cheerleader style)

The Fremont Spirit line was in charge of the holiday dance this year at fremont! no one goes to those, so we made a total fool of ourselves! OH WELL! hahaha! we asked our selves "why use a ladder? we are cheer leaders!" we then found ourselves doing this:

The Time Has COME!

Out of all the things in life, ONE of the worst is waking up early early early in the morning everyday by an alarm clock. i hate it. this morning was probably the best!

Out of all the things i LOVE in life, christmas time is my favorite! i love the spirit that goes around, the cold, the lights, the smell(the best), the acts of service and kindness, the excitement, and... the music!!!

My two favorite christmas songs, one from the spiritual catergory, and the fun upbeat catergory are O holy night, and winter wonderland. i must say sleigh ride is net in line. I woke up this morning to 99.9's delilah and i hear Winter Wonderland playing, and i swung my eyelids open and screamed for joy! (i actually screamed in my head not out loud, i was too tired.) anyways, i literally kept my alarm on until it was over, and i was mouthing the words with a huge grin on my face. priceless.

Yesterday my dad comes home with a bag from the dollar store, and he pulls out a cheerleader costume (well the front side of a cheerleader costume) and some blue pom poms for Addi! she loves coming to my games and watching the cheerleaders! and in the car she yells "GO FREMONT!" haha! she is an angel al right! we put it on her and she was shakin' the poms and yelling "go fremont!" it was the cutest thing ever! check out the adorable pics!

today after Addi had made a mess with the Sharpie marker, mom wasn't very happy. I was doing my homework, and i didnt know where mom and Conner went! I go outside just incase she went to get the mail, or was talking with someone out by their car, but instead I see this:

Isn't my mom just the greatest?? she just keeps going and going even though we all bug the crap out of her (teehee:)) we love our mom!!!

DBACKS!!!

So our cheer team got the pleasure to perform a 4 minute long routine ON THE DIAMOND BACKS FIELD!!! AAH! it was sooo much fun! we learned the dance at school, and we performed it yesterday on the field before the game, and then got to watch it! there were about 12 cheer teams from the valley there to do it with us! it was a great bonding experience for us cheer girls! we made TONS of inside jokes! AND we were on the big screen 4 TIMES!! we were showed twice when we did the routine, and then we were talking to the organ player (bobby freeman) who told us if we did a chant for him, we can sing "take me out to the ball game" to the camera! of course we did! and it was so cool to see us! The same camera dude recorded us waving to the camera again shortly after the song. WOWWIE WOW WOW! there was soooo much more that i wish i could write, but i don't want to bore you out of your mind! :P so check out these random pics i took!

school

so i am not slacking i promise!! i get on my blog a lot and look at other peoples a lot too! i just never got the time to put pictures on because i feel like i need to always put pictures up when i post, but i have none:)

School has started good! my fav. classes in order are: 1. cheer (obviously!:) 2. spanish 3. english 4. seminary 5. social studies 6. math 7. biology. i can honestly say i don't really like math and biology. at all. but cheer is going great! we all get along great! i love it! i am pretty sad because like, none of my friends are in any of my classes:( i am in a lot of classes with people i don't even know, which in a way is good, but i don't really like it.

I just went to Cali this weekend for my cousins homecoming! we went to the beach, and saw raina, ayla, blake, and trevor! it was pretty fun! i will post a pic with me and them, but just to warn you they arent the tallest, and i am pretty tall. i felt like a fat, tall giant around them:( oh well i bet they felt pretty small around me:)

So I had my cousin mckenzie come over, and i was more excited for her to come then i was for my birthday! she is one of those cousins that you have just had a wonderful connection with from the start! i luv her to death! i am not going to tell you all that we did, because that would take way too long! but the highlights of the week and the day, was sun splash, shopping 3 times, and seeing "my sisters keeper" (the saddest movie of all time), and MORE! it was so much fun and by was i sad when she left! here are some pictures of us! i am sorry that they are sideways!

My birthday went well except for it happened to be the busiest day of our life! we got up, and went shopping, then came home, then my mom left and then came home a little after my party started! and my party ended at 10:30! I didn't have a huge party this year, since my mom didn't let me, so i just kept it plain and simple but i still had fun and hopefully everyone else did too! here is a picture:

Cheer camp!

Cheer camp was soooo fun! instead of paying $150 to go to an overnighter cheer camp, we payed $50 for two ladies to help us out with what we needed to get done! we learned twice as much then we would have learned at an overnighter cheer camp! we learned 2 routines, rather then 20 seconds of a dance, we learned a whole cheer, and more stunting then normal, AND like 40 chants rather then 5! i feel like we got lots done, except for stunting (my stunt group that is) 

On a side note, everytime i pullup my blog and conner is around me he always asks "why dont you have pictures of me and you do have pictures of everyone else" i tried to prove him wrong but i found that there are NO recent pictures of him, so here is a good one i just took after their shower!

The three C's!!

so for fourth of july we went to our Cabin (C number one)ad had a blast! we were only there for like, two days and then came home, but it was still fun, because all of the cousins were there! i am not going to go into detail about that because its nothing extreme that we did, we basically just chilled, and i got to do 50,000 peoples toenails! i would do a color and zebra stripes over them, and all the girls wanted it, so now i need more nail polish! 

C number 2 is cancer. my dad actually starts chemo this week for all of you that were wondering. thats my least favorite C.

C number is CONVERTIBLE!!!!!!!!! my uncle buys really expensive cars from across the country for dirt cheep, uses is a while and sells it for more! its crazy! and the best part is, is he lets us use it and take it for a spin! check out these pics of us in the black BMW convertible, and us at the cabin!

Well, we went to the doctor, and apparently Lane didn't understand that they would not be able to do the chemo today.  He had requested to meet the doctor and do the chemo today, and the lady told him "maybe".  Well, maybe was a no!  So, we are now scheduled to do it next Friday, the 10th.  Thanks to everyone for their well wishes and help!

i can't describe everything that happened, so i am going to tell you the things i learned on this wonderful trip! I learned that:

1. even though the man at the fron desk says our room will be ready in 10 minutes or so, it ends up being an HOUR or so

2. salt water doesn't taste very good

3. I LOVE BOOGIE BOARDING SOOOOO MUCH!

4. letting two little boys mess around on the phone is not smart

5. continuing with 4, when they say they ordered a pizza, believe them even though they say they are joking afterwards

6. continuing with 5, try not to get the grouchy pizza guys who, instead of saying "ah, its okay", actually say " my boss can call the cops about this"

7. cold stone is really good when you want it really bad

8. family photos are so fun!

9. being switched to another condo room is not fun, when it takes longer then they said it would

10. rashes on your stomache and legs from the boogie boards can really hurt the next day :(

11. its SO fun to go to the outlet malls with your mom! ;)

12. conner is FEARLESS when it comes to jumping waves!

13. you never have time to go swimming in the pool because of the beach

14. because your swimming in the salty ocean all day, you have an excuse to wash your hair everyday

15. leaving such a wonderful place like the Carlsbad beach is not easy to do :(

As you can see this trip altogether was so much fun! thanks for all who made it possible!

girls camp 2009

I SURVIVED! i didn't think i would be able to survive the bug attacking, dirty feeling, no sleeping girls camp but i did! although i did have some interesting times there.

The first day was fun! my poor mom was recovering from the 24 hour flu she caught from conner!  she just felt achey the first day, but was right on top that night! that night, my stomach started feeling really weird and i was very out of it and not in the best shape. thank you sister Ulmer for being a nurse and telling me i was getting sick, and for taking me to the nurse! When i got to the nurse i layed down and my mom decided i should stay the night in the nurses office that night, although i really didn't want to! then i fell asleep and when i woke up i saw my mom and sister adair walking in with my sleeping bag and stuff, and i thought i had had a miraculous recovery! i felt totally better! i woke up and walked around for a little, and like one minute later, i thought "oh no, i feel it coming" and i race to the bathroom and barf! eeeewww! I had to spen the first night of girls camp sleeping in the nurses office, alone, when i was barfing all night, and felt like crap and wanted to go home.

Anyway, on my was up to the cabin from the nurse bethany was walking right down to the nurse because she had puked on the hike! when she got back, i guess whitney threw up, and when she got better, sydney wallace went into the nurses because of a fever. lucky for her, she wasn't throwing up.

The rest of girls camp was so fun! and i am glad i am done and at home! thanks to all the leaders who made it a good experience!

Summer! so far...

Summer has been going good! i am sorry i haven't posted a lot lately! i have been quite busy and not found a good time to sit and post up pictures and blog! but hopefully this summer i can catch up on it! ;) the first weekend i went up to my cabin which was a blast! I also got to go to youth conference which was so fun! i met lots of people there! then to see everyone (almost everyone) from youth conference again we all (almost all) went to big surf together and had so fun! thanks shelby for putting that together! 

Shopping and me have become really close friends the past two weeks! i went to the mall 3 TIMES in the past two weeks! and every time i went i had fun! this summer i am redoing my wardrobe and its fun so far! 

Is anyone planning on doing moms day out this week? because i haven't heard from anyone so far! please please call and do it! it is always a blast!

EVERYONE post about how their summers are going! I haven't heard from a lot of you in a really long time! i know facebook is the new "thing" and i understand its fun, but we should still be posting about our lives!

Moms Day Out!!!!

ALL MOMS DAY OUT FANS! READ AHEAD!

I am so excited for another fantastic summer of fun! I am looking forward to see all you guys again and do more crafts, games, and activities!

I am going to be doing the following dates:

June:

2, 9, 16, 30

July:

7

It will be at my new house (7041 E. Ingram St.)

The first week (June 2) will be "A day at camp" theme! we will be "camping" from 1:00 - 3:30 doing games, crafts, and learning all there is to know about camp! ;)

Kids that can come have to be ages 3-7 yrs old! it will be $10 per kid per week day!

Please call in advance so i can know! sign ups are already starting and i can only have 12 kids max per week!

Scare...

Yesterday I cam home from school dying to jump in the pool!!! I see that my mom, sibs and their friends are in the pool. I jump in my suit and jump in the pool! it was so fun playing with all of them and getting a nice dip in the pool! Addi was in her little suit playing with my mom on the tanning bed. Me and the kids swim over to the diving board to dive some! i see my mom texting, and glance over on a bald head and arms splashing a lot in the pool. i froze. 

"MOM!!!!!!! GET ADDISON!!!!" my mom then jumped into the water and saved her! That was so scary to me! i was holding her after the incident and she looked at me and pointed to the pool and said "no no water!" i replied, "thats right bug! that is a no no!" hopefully she learned something from that!

Cheer part-ay!

After a saturday practice for cheer, some of the girls came over to hang and do stuff! ;) We watched a movie, ate pizza, swam, and practiced stunting that we had learned at cheer that day! here is pictures of some of us stunting in my back yard! check these out!

Sweetest thing ever!!!!!!

OH MY GOSH!!! So you know i made cheer and all of that! Our neighbors the Larsens are so nice! Sister Larsen found out i was trying out for cheer because she asked me to babysit the night of the cheer try-outs. So this was a minute ago this happened! I was on the computer on facebook, and i hear the doorbell ring. I see the Larsens car out front, and open the door. It was sister Larsen and this! 

HOW SWEET i know!!! They are an amazing family, and have the cutest kids on the face of the planet!!! THANK YOU LARSENS!!!! you guys are so incredibly nice!!!!!!

Cheer!

Some of you may know about me trying out for my school cheer! i did this week clinic thing at 7:30 every morning since tuesday. They would teach us a dance, 2 chants, the school song/dance, and we would rally and do jumps/kicks. So my friends and I all did that and then came Friday after school. the actual try-outs. I was SOOOO scared you have no idea!!!!! i had practiced the dance at least 62 times the day before, and i was so sore from everything, and i was scared that since i was sore, i wouldn't do the best i could and i wouldn't make it. I still gave it my best shot. we were told not to say "woooo!" when we rallied because it sound like "booo" and then we had to rally after everything we do even jumps! So me and this girl Sam tried out together. i was so scared. we walked in, and i saw like 10 people (most of them, teachers) were sitting on a table on the opposite side of the room. they had me rally across the mat first, then Sam. I did not say woo! then we walked over to our x's. i was smiling all the time to hide my fear! They had me do my hurkey first, then my toe touch. it stinks because i forgot to rally after those jumps. haha. then we did the fight song, and one of the chants. The dance was what i was worried about. i thought i would freeze up in the middle of it. I didn't. a miracle. I was smiling and going and after the fight song and the dance i rallied!!!!! its good we remembered to rally because that would have effected our chance of making it. so i went home and we were supposed to call the cheer coaches number to listen to her voicemail after 8:00. my friend txts me at 7:43 saying "you made it!" and i start freaking out running to the phone. i call the number, and me and my parents listen to it on speakerphone. i heard names and numbers and then i heard "number 9, Kayla Cook" and me and my parents started screaming and hugging freaking out!!!!!! it was the best thing ever! then i had some of my "cheer friends" come over to watch a movie! it was a crazy fun night!!!! So now i am in Fremont cheer year 2009- 2010! aaaah!!!!

5 day weekend!!!

 So lego land was kinda lame, but it was cool to see the whole world made of legos!!! Sea World was the best part of it all!!! I loved atlantis! (the roller coaster at sea world) it was a blast! we were planning to go to the beach, but it was like 65 degrees out, so we just stopped at the beach for a little bit to see the water, but the two 4 year old boys couldnt go to the beach with out getting in the water! so they both got all soaked!! haha! anyways, here is me doing a leg extension in front of the water! its not that good because i had not stretched or anything in days, and when i pulled my leg up, boy did that hurt!
